In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

I just wrote this here new pome!
Focus
Keep the faith and hang in there,
We need you, dont lose sight.
Your support and yes your vote,
Will make this come out right.
Its early yet but time moves fast,
So please dont wait too long.
Lets pull together once again,
To keep our country strong.
Kerry, Clark, or Howard Dean,
Who knows which one will be.
The one the democrats will pick,
To be their nominee.
The lucky winner gets to run,
A race he cannot win.
Yes come November Oh Oh Four,
George Bush it is again!

Thanks. I wrote it because I see so much infighting. I think we need to save our dissent for 2005.

That's a fact. I see comments on any and every topic complaining that Bush isn't a perfect conservative because he won't try to cram their favorite personal agenda, (whatever it may be) down the throat of congress. This is, I think unrealistic and counter productive-it totally ignores the big picture, namely do we want four years of a Clintonian (or worse) administration? I don't think we'd survive...

I received a letter inviting me to be a charter member of the grassroots campaign here in Alabama. The printed letter was addressed to Ms. last name, and that was marked out and Laura handwritten in. They are, of course, asking for a donation, which is not a problem! Included was an autographed 5x7 of the 1st couple. I've got to get a special frame!!! Has anyone else received something similar?
To: Laura Earl
I haven't received one of those newer ones, but I got one after a contribution a couple of years ago..... it was a very nice photo........
