In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

LulaBelle has never been away except for the night she was spayed. She will be staying at the vet for a few days at the end of March, and CG and I are both dreading being away from her...she will be fine!

Whenever you write, "OMG! ROFLOL A+", I feel all warm inside as if it were an A++.

No snow here-sunny, windy with a norther blowing in to take us down to 22-25 tonight. Snow would be nice, though...
I told that lady I did the bid for that I wouldn't be able to schedule her wall paneling for over a month (not true), but she was already trying to get me to cut corners by using cheap materials that wouldn't look good, and she would be unhappy with the results. I hate to turn down work, but people like that are never happy because they won't spend just a bit more to get the job done with stuff that really looks good-they'd rather save 25 dollars and use cheap s***. I really can live without customers like that....

The freezing and icing stuff is supposed to start this evening. Oh fun.
OTOH hand I don't mind this kind of weather, in a away, because it justifies making some of my favorite meals. Tonight is chili, cornbread and black beans and rice. Hubby picked up some smoked ham for me on the way home from work so I can make a big ole pot of navy bean soup for tomorrow!!!

After the rain on Friday/Saturday, the county lifted the burn ban and forest fire alert, but now with the wind blowing so hard in front of that norther the burn ban is back...
Yum, navy bean soup! I'm making meatloaf, scalloped new potatoes, steamed spinach, and a slice of the nine grain bread I made over the weekend for hubby. I have a bunch of bids to figure tomorrow that got delayed today by my computer's power supply crapping out, so I may not get out, either.

my laundry room is just inside the garage, so they strip down on the spot and the stuff goes right in the dryer to dry til the next time they want to go out.

I absolutely do not need a customer like that-I need the money, but not the grief. She's the type that will call you at home at night to tell you that she has changed her mind about something when you've already got the job half done...Anyway I've got four bids to finish tomorrow that didn't get done today because of computer crap out. I don't need a wretched customer on top of it all.

Judging by the list of closings for tomorrow on the news already, I have a feeling I won't be going anywhere tomorrow either.
I'll switch back to the local station for their 7pm news cast, they do the list in alphabetical order and I wasn't in the room when they started it, so I missed the A's.
