In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-) Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Ah what a day! new car battery, snow afoot, cars sliding into embankments, poles, people and each other. You'd think the folks who are not used to driving in snow would coruscate the notion to stay home on such a day.

missed you too, dixie! work just didn't cooperate this time around. next year will be a big one and i will just have to manage to be there one way or another. i know it sounds funny, but missing work is normally much more doable for me than missing family obligations!

Now that Muttly's luxurious coat is growing back after summer trimming, the coruscating sight of his coruscation practicing with his Yo-Yo coriscates all those who behold his coruscation...and people say "now that's the kind of person/dog we need to run this country!"

This is my first snow since moving and so I did not know what to expect ........... DelDot was so lousy with taking care of the roads out in the country and Dover was equally horrid.
BTW, I second XS in my admiration of your homeschooling of your son. I have the greatest respect who are able to do it and do it well, as you evidently are. Kudos to you, FRiend.

Morning! My computer suddenly died at 6:30 this morning, and I had to replace the power supply. But it's back up now-a quick rhyme, then I've got to go deliver a bid....
This morning on "Fox and Friends"
Dennis Kuchinich was pontificating
In a vain attempt to coruscate
And overcome his dismal rating
He only ended up looking strange
And decidedly over the brink-
Like he's been eating magic mushrooms
With purple kool-aide to drink

Hey Gabz! Not the weather, just AMTRAK's getting me home at almost two in the morning, having to throw a temper tantrum (you know, the stomp your foot kind) to get my luggage and call a cab!
Otherwise, this throbbing thing on my shoulders says that I made it home okay! Did you get home before the snow started? It was snowing all the way into North Carolina, I think as far as Fayetteville. We just got rain here.

It was great meeting you, as well.
I got home an hour or so before the snow started.....but there is enough to have closed schools today and now they are calling for ice and freezing rain over night.........probably no school again tomorrow if that happens.

Good grief - you poor thing. No wonder you have a pounding headache.
I read on one of the CPAC threads that taxrelief and family got stranded in Virginia last night because of the weather.
