At first I also thought it was boneheaded. Considering there are 10 - 12 million illegals roaming around the country, we need some strategy to begin getting a handle on the problem. Throw them all out sounds good to me too but I know it's impossible. Next best thing is to devise a policy to identify them and then we are in a better position.
