I'm not a big fan of cats. They have no sense of loyalty. If your dog was suddenly 10 times his normal size, he'd still love you, still want to sleep at the foot of your bed and would most likely be willing to die trying to protect you from an intruder. But if your cat was suddenly 10 times his normal size, you'd be dinner or the worlds biggest and bloodiest scratching post as soon as it got bored.

More people get hurt by dogs than great cats every year, y'know. ;)

LOL! We've got one of those "attack cats", and she doesn't have to be 10 times her size in order to intimidate.

She's made every dog in the neighborhood afraid of her including our Weimaraners (aren't they supposed to eat cats for lunch) and the Rottweiler next door.

She charges any dog she sees, goes nose to nose with them, and the dogs always back away.

But I agree, our two dogs are our pets, they love us and adore us. But my cat's opinion of humans, "Why do I need an opposable thumb when I have human slaves?"

You seem to have a misunderstanding on the nature of cats. You see dogs have always had a master/servant relationship with humans but cats where worshipped as gods by the ancient Egyptians and have never gotten over it. :)

That depends a lot on the particular cat in question. One of my current feline threesome would just take up a lot more space, as he lies on the sofa on his back soliciting tummy rubs.

What a dog is thinking:
These things feed me every day, take care of all my needs, provide me shelter, pet me...They must be gods!

My cat is very loyal to me. I call her, she comes. She does not like other people and never has in her 9 years. Any time I lay down, be it for the night or a nap, she is right there laying with me. She loves to snuggle under the covers. My last cat was the exact same way. Might be something to do with gray cats.....
