"Norm Matloff has always said that the open-immigration employer lobby, and their aides, will not stop pushing until they can hire anyone in the world, anytime they want to, for whatever wage they want to. Now here's proof.
Everything Bush and its other supporters has said about this bill is transparently just a smokescreen. In reality it is nothing more than an unlimited permanent version of the H1-B (indentured servent) program, but with no limits or restrictions of any sort."

I take it you are an IT person from your ID. Why do you think Bush would do this? Doesn't India supply most of the tech jobs? I too didn't think it would help on the illegals, b/c employers who hire illegals do so to avoid paying, taxes, work comp, etc. So, they would still hire illegals, b/c illegals would still be cheaper than amnesty workers. But in a time of economic depression, why do you think Bush would make this move?

Yes it is. But some people will never ever believe Pres. Bush could do anything wrong, or hurtful to this country. Maybe they should find out about the conditions of programmers working and living in India. Outsourcing is leading to a new type of slavery.
