Sorry but you're not going to draw me into that kind of discussion. You want to hate a football player that is entirely up to you, of course. Fortunately, I grew out of that sort of emotion a very long time ago just as I grew out of putting football players on pedestals a very long time ago.

I don't hate Favre - I was just disgusted by the idiotic placement of him on - to use your own word - a pedestal by the media. Given your willingness to bootlick for him, you haven't "grown out" of anything.

Eagles win - Rush looks dumb
Eagles lose - L4B looks dumb

got news for you, sport - rush already looks dumb, at least to the 90% of americans who buy into the media's misrepresentation of what he said. bad quarterbacks don't get to conference championships. bad quarterbacks don't make fools of big-time defensive linement. bad quarterbacks don't outduel brett favre under the brightest of spotlights.

rush has a lot of good ideas and says a lot of bright things. he didn't even SAY what the media ACTS like he said. why is he even an issue here?

Bad QBs make it to conference championships all the time, especially in the modern defense oriented NFL. Heck sometimes you get to bad QBs facing off for all the marbles, may I introduce Mr Dilfer and Mr Collins.

Green blew through that spot for at least 60 yeards.

five minutes ago, it was 200.

the packers bread and butter play on sunday was a little more complicated than off-tackle. simon, while a bit undersized, didn't have the worst game of the eagles' front seven. not nearly. but then again, you thought whale tripped green 'cause the fix was in, right? a fix to what? make the packers cover the spread by less? what a joke.

care to venture another guess as to the eagles' worst defensive player on sunday? (sheldon brown excluded)

For once I agree with you... (falls on sword) L4B, I am not your enemy. And I lick no one's boots but my lady's. I don't take any of this so seriously as to respond in the sort of way that you do. Getting too old for that.

may I introduce Mr Dilfer and Mr Collins.

neither is a bad QB. they're very different KINDS of QBs, and neither will grace the HoF, but neither is a BAD quarterback.

That's just Green, they had other guys running. The Pack as a whole got 200 yards running. Green got 30 yards going through that spot on one run. Simon was on his butt all freaking day long.

Here you go telling LIES about what people said again STOP LYING! I never said a fix was in, quite the opposite. I think anybody who thought a fix was in is a complete moron who should be banned from FR on general principles.

I also didn't say Simon was the worst Eagles defensive player of the day, just that he sucked all day. This would be a lot more pleasant if you'd stop insulting people and stop lying about what they said.

I refuse to continue a football discussion with someone who thinks the pack shredded the Eagles with "off tackle" plays.

Not to mention that if someone who "sucked all day" wasn't the worst defensive player, how good does that make the (swoon) PACKERS, who managed 3 points TOTAL in the final three quarters and five minutes of overtime?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Thanks for proving beyond any possible doubt that my cat puts more football knowledge in the liter box every morning that you'll ever have. At best Trent Dilfer is a mediocre QB and Kerry Collins makes Dilfer look like Brett Favre. They are both bad QBs and the BOTH not only made it to conference championships but won them, thus proving you are wrong and bad QBs can make the final four. Not that I'm saying McNabb is a bad QB, he's OK, just pointing out the blatant falacy of your statement that no bad QB has ever made it this far.

I didn't say they shredded the Eagles defense at all, not in any direction. More LIES from you.

Having two bad QBs in the Superbowl was an aberation. Having bad QBs in the conference championship has become the norm though, there's usually at least one "how'd this chump get in" QB, my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers contributed to that trend frequently with Kordell Stewart. Now that the game is ruled by defense it's a lot easier for bad QBs to excel.

just pointing out the blatant falacy of your statement that no bad QB has ever made it this far.

there's a difference between bad and "not great". Dilfer and Collins are not BAD QBs. would I make either the cornerstone of my franchise? no. but teams don't make the conference final when the one man touching the ball on every offensive play is "bad".

there's a lot more to team success than the ability of one player. for example, as much as I hate him, kerry collins came into the NFL with more ability than phil simms. but go on thinking pro football is a video game.

More LIES from you.

oh no, it's in capitals this time, so it must be true! why don't you throw a bible at me?

let me try the capitals thing... let's see... you know NOTHING about the game of football. you don't know your ELBOW from your BUTT. see, you know I'm right because I yelled it! god, where did all the nitwits come from? I mean, besides "the nfl today"?

Well you got the first sentence right. But Dilfer and Collins are most definitely BAD QBs. Then there's good ol Kordell Stewart who's a very bad QB and made a few conference championships. Given how Kurt Warner has performed since his last trip to the conference championship it's getting hard to not say he's a bad QB.

Bad QBs most certainly do make it to conference championships, now that QBs no longer call their own plays it takes less talent in that spot to have a good season and a good playoff run. Now that defenses rule the NFL the minimum talent level in QB drops even lower. Bad QBs with expensive jewelry are now a part of the game.
