In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
arrogate \AIR-uh-gayt\,verb:
arrogating, arrogates, arrogated; transitive verb
arrogative; adjective
arrogatively; adverb
arrogation, arrogator; noun
1. To claim or seize without right or justification; to appropriate.
2. To ascribe on behalf of another in an unwarranted manner.
3. To assume, or claim as one's own, unduly, proudly, or presumptuously; to make undue claims to, from vanity or baseless pretensions to right or merit
The most sinister dimension of this form of 'terror' was that it became an intrinsic component of Fascist and Nazi governance, executed at the behest of, and in complete subservience to, the ruling political party of the land -- which had arrogated to itself complete, total control of the country and its people.
--Bruce Hoffman, Inside Terrorism
Etymology [Latin arrog re, arrog t- : ad-, ad- + rog re, to ask; see reg- in Indo-European Roots.]

Well, if it isn't that far of a walk, I think the cheaper price is pretty decent, the only thing with having a room at the Crystal Gateway is convenience.
Do we know exactly how far away this hotel is?

Wedding plans are definitely back on at the church as originally planned. Invitations were ordered this morning. Mother of the Bride has purchased her champagne-colored suit. Meeting with caterer and florist on Friday, and first fitting for my gown is next Saturday.

Apparently it's closer than to where Dubs is staying.

Dubs is staying a mile away. Constitution Day is also staying at the Days Inn.
Yo! CD! Tell us about the Days Inn. How far away is it from Crystal Gateway??

I'm then going to have to found out what metro station stop it is, because I'm not going to fly.
I'm going to getting a ride to/from the metro stop in Maryland which is only a 2 hour drive from Dover.

Oh my goodness, I think that would be fraudulant advertising. LOL, thanks for the thought though!
To: Gabz
So it's going to take you how many hours to get there??
To: RikaStrom
According to Libertina's post
HERE, I think it's pretty close.
The conference is at 1700 Jefferson Davis Highway; Days Inn is at 2000 Jefferson Davis Highway... so about 3 blocks?

Madden 2002 predicts that the Colts will beat the Patriots 50-41. Right now Carolina leads Philadelphia 13-10 with 7:21 to go in the 2nd quarter.

I have a request for information in to Libertina. Once we find out how far it is, and if they have room, let's switch.
Tioga, check in Girl! Let us know what you think!

Hubby says it's really no more than a 3 hour drive from here. I'm thinking of going to Dover on Wednesday for some politicking and then have one of my lobbyist friends drive me to Maryland. My SIL came up with the idea and said she would meet me at the metro on sunday.
Worst case scenario is hubby will drive me over Thursday morning. Just couldn't justify the cost of airfare, even one way and Grey hound is a 7 hour ride and the times don't work for me on sunday.

It will have to be after we get back - or at least for me - I don't have a laptop.
