Kitty Humor is weekly thread (usually on Monday) on FR in the General Interest section. Among all the serious news, a little humor with our feline friends is always a welcome diversion. If you want on/off the kitty humor list (114 members) or you have a picture/animation you want featured, please send me freep-mail.

(I'd rather be sleeping. Let's get this over with so I can go back to sleep!)

Sleep is considered exercise to this cat The sleep muscle is the largest in a cat's body and if it is not exercised regularly it will atrophy and lead to long periods of wakefulness.
Oh the horror!

Waking a cat unecessarily carries its own punishment.

A cat can sleep for 10 years, and at any time get up and climb a sequoia.

I always knew cats were the smartest creatures on earth, now there's proof. One of them just found the perfect use for a treadmill.
I think I'll put my two kitties to work this morning to solve a few other problems. Hot water pipe burst the other night. Still waiting for a plumber. Garage door won't open. Waiting a week for a repairman while the cars are collecting snow and ice in the driveway. Plow service came to clean driveway, but the cars are blocking it.
I'm SURE my kitties will take care of everything. I'm going back to bed.

Those are all great pictures. (Well, except for the Floriduh voters).
How many people whose cat decides to take a nap on them or near them, refrain from moving lest the cat is awakened? Show of hands? LOL. So many cat-owned that I know won't move a muscle if kitty is napping on or near them. I am one of them....

Not one of mine, but how in the world does a cat contort its body like this? I need more yoga classes.

Sorry I've missed the past couple of threads. Been having 'puter problems. grrrrrrr! Praying I can get this to post! Cotton Mather in his usual "road kill" position...

Poor Morticia was so startled by the flash, she plopped right off the edge of the table onto the floor when I took this shot. *g* ....

Hollian (tortie), Cleo (gray tabby-and-white), Ferdinand (yellow tabby-and-white), and Kele soaking up the warmth of the heater....

With 39 of these hairballs around the house, there's never a shortage of flaked out bodies to trip over. LOL!
