We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!
Good morning!!
Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!
Moveon.org had been running a contest for its members to produce a 30-second ad spot that opposed the current president. Recently the site had been criticized for this effort as members produced ads that suggested a relationship between President Bush's leadership and that of Adolf Hitler. Now the winning ad has been chosen, and moveon.org has chosen its place in history. The winning ad is yet another "Bush is Hitler" type spot.
Gov. Dean has decided it is time he is no longer the candidate who is willing to speak his mind. In a move reminiscint of that great reinventor, Algore, Gov. Dean has decided to remake his image, and has now told the press that he is no longer going to be as available as he was. Polls show his lead over Gen. Clark shrinking dramatically in the last month. Maybe that has something to do with it.
Three possible cases of SARS have been reported in Hong Kong.
The IMF has weighed in on the US budget deficit, saying that it will hurt the world's economy by driving up international rates of interest.
Unusually warm weather in the Washington, DC, area is often responsible for the growth of many rather strange species during those periods. The recent episode of above average temperatures was no exception--the species globulus warmicus made an appearance. The species is noted for a dogmatic adherence to the as yet unproven theory the Earth is in a warming environment because of the activities of mankind. The latest sighting of the species was coupled with their claim that global warming will be responsible for the elimination of 25% of the world's species of plants and animals over the next few decades.
And, finally, in the "I can't possibly make this stuff up folks" category, in West Bend, WI, a man claims cable TV caused him to be addicted to TV, his wife to be overweight, and his kids to be lazy. He intends to sue the local cable TV company, saying his addiction resulted from getting four years of free cable TV--which occurred after he tried to cancel his cable subscription. Timothy Dumouchel stated: "I believe that the reason I smoke and drink every day and my wife is overweight is because we watched TV every day for the last four years." In response to the threat of a lawsuit, the cable TV outlet responded by saying: "Even though we consider our services to be a very powerful entertainment product, I dont think its reached a medical level yet where it could be proved to be addictive."

HI Peach - I just learned to post pictures yesterday, thanks to Miss Marple :-) I was so excited! I even posted a picture on our profile page. It took me a couple of attempts because the first time I didn't get the closing "> just right.....I was rushing too fast :-)

Good morning, bev.
I just tried again but this time hit preview and had same problem. User error no doubt!
I saw your picture with your Larry, bev. As a woman married to a man for 24 years who is quite a bit older than I am, your pain was all too imaginable to me yesterday. Hugs.

The way the extreme right and extreme left is outraged tells me that our President has probably gotten it right.
On one side, our "pure conservative" brethren who would prefer to see illegals hung on barbed wire and left for dead as a warning see it as pandering and a sell-out. On the other side, the liberal RATS and their buddies at La Raza see it as too little or a trap.
The adults are back in charge and are dealing with a festering problem as rationally as possible and as constructively as possible.
Remember, this whole problem was caused when the liberals and pukes from La Raza started giving migrant workers wellfare, free medical and access to the education system. Before that, migrants came, picked and went home.

Thanks for the mail Toby. I am OK. As you know, the pain never really stops. I tell people that I used to LIVE and now I just EXIST. I am keeping busy with my volunteer work and living alone in the "boonies" there is always something for me to do! I had to put new "necks" on both showers and repaired the washer since he died. Also, the engine battery in the motor home lost some of its oomph, so I went to COSTCO and bought a new one with 900 cranking amps and installed it myself.I am so grateful for all he taught me to do so that I don't have to rely on others.
How are you coming with your solar energy plans?

Thought that picture would be bigger.
Like you bev, had to try a few times...it's fun trying this new skill. We got a DVD player for Christmas too - maybe this means we are entering the 21st century after all. LOL

Larry was 20 years older than me, but he was never "old". We were planning our winter trip to AZ on the day he died. He was actually smiling and talking to me when he went into an irreversible A-fib. We were shopping in Seaside when the Lord came to take him home. We had 35 years together and it wasn't nearly enough.

Oh, bev. I know what you mean about never seeming old. My husband has the energy of a young man and outdoes me. We both want another 24 years, but it's doubtful.
I will try to have the grace you have had. I'm giving you a hug right now.

My husband did the ground measuring yesterday for one tower. He wanted to climb at least one yesterday, but it was 0 wind chill at times and too cold to go on the tower. So that leaves both towers to climb between now and Sat. Highs are only suppose to be near 25 each day.
Thanks for asking.
And thanks for letting us know ohioWfan's son was safe. Prayers continue to him and his unit.

I just checked the properties of your red X. I think when you copied the address you didn't get the whole thing. Occasionally the url for a picture will be really long and you have to scroll down as you copy to see the end part, as it isn't visible in the space that box provides. (Hope I am making sense to you.)

Son is not up yet, but I feel almost normal. Thanks to prayers :)

That makes perfect sense. Thank you for checking and I'd love to know - how do you do that? When I clicked on it, nothing happened.
I'll go try again and try right clicking and see if that's the secret.
