23 years ago I memorized the 2nd Chapter of Luke.
Ever since then I have recited the story of the Birth of Christ in our church's Christmas Eve services for both the 4:30 Family service and the 10:30 Carol Service.
It is always a pleasure to have so many people say how much the recitation from the King James Version (Is there any other for the Story) reminds them of Christmases long ago.
However, it was deeply moving last year to have several teens say how much they enjoyed it.

My time honored, politically incorrect Christmas memory is heading into the hills north of town every year to chop our Christmas tree. I grew up in Western Colorado and I belive that one can still do this, if you know where to go.

I think you are right about Mark and the song. I really enjoy watching him with the Gaithers.

We three Kings of Orient are
One on a tractor, two in a car.
One on a scooter
Tooting a hooter
Following yonder star.
Oh, oooooooo-h Star of wonder
Star so bright
Star of beauty
She'll be right
Westward leading still proceeding
Following yonder star. Oi!

Jingle Bell Rock
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring
Snowin' and blowin' up bushels of fun
Now the jingle hop has begun
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time
Dancin' and prancin' in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air
What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go glidin' in a one-horse sleigh
Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin' feet
That's the jingle bell rock
Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell rock (repeat verse1's
Jingle bells chime in jingle bell time last 4 lines)
Dancin' and prancin' in Jingle Bell Square
In the frosty air
What a bright time, it's the right time
To rock the night away
Jingle bell time is a swell time
To go glidin' in a one-horse sleigh
Giddy-up jingle horse, pick up your feet
Jingle around the clock
Mix and a-mingle in the jinglin' feet
That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell
That's the jingle bell rock

Christmas traditions? Well, it's a fairly recent one, but it's just not Christmas until I hear Aunt Bethany sing the Star-Spangled Banner!
For those of you who may not be familiar with the actress pictured above, that's the late Mae Questel. Her high, squeaky voice sounded oddly familiar, so I looked her up on the Internet Movie Database. She's got a list of acting credits that just scrolls and scrolls... and I found out why she sounded familiar. She was the voice of Betty Boop and Olive Oyl!
Look HERE for more entertaining frame captures from the movie - and one or two great animated images.

Don't know if this has been posted, don't have time right now to check:
One beautiful December evening Huan Cho and his girlfriend
Jung Lee were sitting by the side of the ocean. It was a
romantic full moon, when Huan Cho said "Hey baby, let's
play Weeweechu."
"Oh no, not now, lets look at the moon" said Jung Lee.
"Oh, c'mon baby, let's you and I play Weeweechu. I love
you and it's the perfect time," Huan Cho Begged.
"But I rather just hold your hand and watch the moon."
"Please Jung Lee, just once play Weeweechu with me."
Jung Lee looked at Huan Chi and said, "OK, we'll play
Weeweechu."
Huan Cho grabbed his guitar and they both sang.....
"Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, Weeweechu a Merry Christmas,
Weeweechu a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year."
