Dear ACLU:
Please know that this time of year is a HAPPY time. A JOYOUS time. A BLESSED time. You see, it's not about Santa Claus. Or lovely, decorated trees. Or spending thousands of dollars on gifts for one another. Or parties. Or egg nog. Or new clothing....I think you get the message....
It's about the birth of a tiny babe in Bethlehem. A baby who was born for you and for me. He is the Prince of Peace. He is the King of Kings. He is the Lord of Lords.
All you have to do is recognize that you, the ACLU, (singularly, not collectively) are sinners....and that there IS an afterlife. You DO need to know that this baby was born for YOUR sins and for mine.
An even MORE joyous time for you and me is Easter. The time that He died on the cross for our sins. He didn't stay dead...that's the beauty of this story. He defeated death once and for all...for you and for me.
Please, trust in Him. Know that He is YOUR savior, too!!! It's really not a bad life to live, being a Christian, a follower of that baby, born in Bethlehem.
Merry CHRISTmas, ACLU. And don't worry about trying to take the CHRIST out of CHRISTmas....you may try, but that's one of those things that just won't happen. You can NOT reach into my heart and grab my joy.
Smile. Rejoice. Sing praises! Hug your family...if you have none, go find a neighbor...
Merry CHRISTMAS!!!

Amen, and amen. Very well said, Gramma.
Americans would be so much better off without the buttinsky ACLU interferring in all the sacred traditions that make us distinctly American.
They've corrupted our culture, debasing it for their own self-serving purposes.....and rest assured, ACLU, we know what your purposes are.
Who knows? Maybe 2004 will be the year the ACLU opens its books and lets Americans see who is financing its corrosive anti-American agenda.
All of us, and our country, have been defiled by having the ACLU--and its acolytes--in our midst.
