The word opn the street is that Howard Dean is the Left Wing equivalent of Pat Buchanan.

As many here have noted, and has been thoroughly proven, there is very little difference in Pat Buchanan (and therefore, Willie Green and Co.) and Howard Dean. On the major issues of our time they are indistinguishable. And the result of the only real goal that drives them, defeating GWB, would be exactly the same: a sharp move to the far Left in America.
