We were gonna mention it at Christmas, but there wasn't an obvious time, and then we forgot!
I am at this point assuming everyone already ~knows~. I know months will go by and I will just show up one day and say something like "Here are the white Petunias to plant in all the flower beds for the wedding"

Well ecurbh is supposed to ask the father. :) I think it would probably score big points if it went that way. Though, from what I'm seeing from my side, it won't come as much of a big surprise, at any rate. They've already been wondering if Hair won't probably be going to Arizona for Christmas next year. :-)

My dog is small enough that she plays with Tam. It's a good thing, too...otherwise I don't think either of them would sleep through the night. He BARELY survived kittenhood...I'd get home at the end of the day and want to sleep, and he'd spend the whole night thundering around our little apartment screaming his fool head off, trying to get me to play. It was horrible for both of us!
Then Mom showed up one day with Halvah, and she was a good playmate for Tam until she grew up...and he didn't. She'll play once in awhile, but after a short time she tells him "enough" in no uncertain terms. Fiona doesn't get tired - works for both of them!Lovely cats you have there.

Yeah, prolly because of Independence Day.
And, we have the house in Nags Head at the end of the month. I guess I could tune in via pier cam.

They think the dog is the Antichrist.
I can understand, because the dog has developed the habit of sneaking up behind the cats, pushing her muzzle under their hindquarters, and catapulting them into the air. They HATE it because it's an affront to their dignity, and when they hiss she just grins at them.
One of these days one is going to hear her coming and turn around and tattoo her nose for her . . .

"Honest honey, it wasn't me, it was the dog!" Reminds me of that scene in "10" (I think it was "10"). Aging housekeeper breaks wind and the dog cowers in the corner.
Homeowner explains. "Every time Mrs. Johnson breaks wind, we beat the dog."
