The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
ecurbh

Posted on 12/11/2003 2:07:57 PM PST by ecurbh

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

The horses will still be at Bob's, depends on whether I am overly worried about the cat.

Advice: Never be overly worried about a cat. They wouldn't do the same for you.

They are in very safe hands, but not spoiling ones.

My Daddy used to complain that we spoiled our little dachshund, but he was the one who used to scramble an egg for her every morning!

One of my cats seems to know I'm about to head out somewhere. He won't let me out of his site and keeps crying and wanting to be carried around.

The Siamese, of course.

Luckily his favorite among my brothers is house-sitting. He'll be fine. Brat.

I was laughing so hard thinking of Monty Python, that Chelsea was totally befuddled.

The Siamese, of course.

All my Siamese know when we're leaving - because the suitcases come out. And yes they complain, bitterly.

When a fourteen pound Siamese jumps up on the bureau and screams right in your face - you notice!

Who is bringing the FoTR and TTT EE DVDS? Do I need to bring mine? I'm planning to bring our animated Hobbit and Return of the King video, and O Brother, Where Art Thou, The Dish and The Goonies on DVD. Joseph and Clare are bringing their Game Cube and Game Boys, so they'll be set for entertainment all week! They'll have to do some homeschool stuff too, but not too much. They didn't complain when I told them what I expected, so that's good. Mostly they'll be reading for a little while each day.

Well... no. If you die in a house with a dog, the dog will probably sit next you and protect you, waiting for you to awake.

If you die in a house with a cat, the cat will have eaten about half of you by the time somebody comes around to check on how you are.

Oh, how pretty!

Mine's more of an applehead type...there's a picture of him with one of my other kitties on my profile page.

The other two cats are Siamese mixes. They still don't like having any doors between me and them, but they aren't as bad. Tam has taken to holding on to my sleeves whenever I try to walk away from him. And I don't even have the suitcase out yet!

Not to mention he's LOUD. Doesn't have that deep voice that some of the modern Siamese have...just a very, very loud cry like a baby. Hard to ignore!

We got accused of naming Luke after Captain Picard.

"Luke" was mistaken for "Jean-Luc"????

That's just wrong.

I still haven't gotten very good at that. I'm verrrry slow.

But it's fun to practice. Satisfying in a strange sorta way...
