Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Your connecting flight is with the same airline, right?

I can't find a bathing suit. Too late to do anything about it now, I'm working overtime all week.

hokay... we are ready to roll... we'll be pullin' out tomorrow mornin'...
the feller I took the van to has seven kids... good family... their kids went to skool with ours... well, on the 22nd of December, their house burned to the ground. Everyone is safe, but they lost everything... the community and churches have rallied around them, and they are gettin' back on their feet...
but I thought it was great how he helped us out on a Sunday nite...
Suzi' we're stayin' at the temp lodging facility... I don't camp no more less'n it's summer... I spent enough nites out freezin' muh butt off...
osage, always patronize the private shop... ice on the vehicles... hope it don't stick to the roads...
thanks fer all yer prayers...
I need a stiff drink... Lagavulin sounds about right...

And you had time and energy to be curious about Sonya's wedding and such!HA! I have to somehow separate myself from the insanity I call family!
Matter of fact, I thought of you a few times when I was back home. You've pointed out several aspects of my normal everyday family that are foreign to you over the last few months. This visit, instead of just getting irritated, I just thought, "Gee, I wish Hair could see this one!"

Or she could just work 4 10-hour shifts.

My sister doesn't have a suit either. She's planning on just bringing an extra set of shorts and some dark T-shirts. ;)
I have one...though I'm self conscious wearing one. I guess I should just resign myself to the fact that I am NOT gonna lose ten or fifteen pounds before Friday! But I still fully intend to wear it at least once, just so's I can tell all the poor folks stuck up here in Vermont that I did...
To: HairOfTheDog
And insulation? They would like that! Maybe I could just add on a room for them in my next house.I had some next door neighbors one time who let their 8 cows in their house during one cold spell. Those neighbors gave "redneck" a whole new dimension.

Glad you got the van straightened out!
And the mechanic sounds like someone I'd like to know. Man...losing everything a couple of days before Christmas...I can't imagine that. But good that everyone was safe. We had a similar fire locally on about the same day. The family here wasn't so lucky.
Time for me to get to bed. See you Friday, g'nads!
To: Wneighbor
Well, at least they can be said to love their cows.

Hi Rosie!
Guess that's what big sisters are for...
I dunno about that. I never took up that part of the responsibility! :-)
OH! I forgot, I took pictures of my brothers at Christmas so I could show ya'll! Gotta go find 'em. :-)

It is great that they stopped to help you on your schedule, and remarkable that someone going through such a a setback would have the time and energy to give. People aren't all bad are they g'nad?

4 - 10 hour shifts is okay when you're not thinking of packing, traveling and reveling with friends at the end of the week. I'd tell my boss I needed time off. But, then I'm kinda crochety about stuff sometimes. :-)
