The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Getting the final Entmoot notes in order!OK Friends! I am pinging everyone, just in case there are any late-comers that want to get in now. It is time to get our final plans in order for Entmoot! The final payment is due in ksen's hands by the 23rd. This is the damage deposit: $2,230.(which is refundable if the dwarves don't trash the place).
If you need reminders about the dates/times/etc
. Here is ecurbh's page again: The Hobbit Hole : Entmoot '04. We are renting the castle for the 9th-16th
. The main moot activities and main viewing will be the weekend of 9th-11th.
The entmoot page above has this table, which we need to fill in
. if folk would FRMail me their info or post it here, we can know who will be arriving when, who needs transportation, and who will be able to give someone a ride. If enough folk have cars, we won't all need to rent cars, or some of us may need to rent a van.

Heh, I remember the TV ads with Groening that were run to introduce Futurama, before it premiered... "Bender is a bad robot. Kids, don't grow up to be like Bender!" or some such...
To: JenB
I think so.
Oopsies.
Scott Kurts does PvPonline.
Aaron Williams does Nodwick.
They sometimes 'cross weirdificate' and fill in for each other when one goes to a con or such.

Well, Asimov wrote "Caliban" and a follow up to that one where there was a 'lawless robot'.
Caliban, in effect, didn't have to obey orders from humans, and could bring harm to a human.
In a slight twist, Caliban wasn't the only lawless robot.
I'd blame Asimov himself himself for people forgetting the laws of robotics.

OK got it. What extra money? - just the cleaning deposit divided by 12...
If you mean extra money that would have gone to rent, we are just hoping you late comers who didn't pay the rent amount will buy a big share of the food at the place.... No need to send extra cash now except the deposit amount.

Jr. and I are arriving on Friday, sometime most likely mid-day (or whatever our check-in time is). We're leaving Sunday morning and going to either Universal Studios or Walt Disney World for the day, then we'll catch a room somewhere and head home Monday. Jr. is having a hard time deciding which park he actually wants to visit. But if anyone wants to make it a group thing (you know what I mean), that could be fun. But we wouldn't necessarily be driving back to the castle on Sunday night.
I'll have our mini-van and can provide transportation as needed. We can comfortably seat 7.
We'll camp out on whatever (hopefully soft) and flat space is available.
Things we need to think about that are probably already on your list:
- cost for ROTK theater
- food (organizing, cooking and paying for)
Also, since we're driving, we can bring extra stuff. If there are games or equipment we might need, let us know. It's a lot easier for us to throw stuff in the back of the van than for those flying (or training) to try to get checked thru.

(((sad)))
Wish I could go.
I really hope that ROTK has a scene where Gimli chews Merry and Pippin out. That is another favorite scene of mine.

Most will by flying/driving in sometime Friday 9th.
Leaving is up to you.... we have the castle for the week.... Many of us are staying until the next Friday.
Not sure on the theater or whether we are really locking in a theater or not. ksen? Do we want to re-assess this theater rental versus just going to a regular show? Is this still a thing to do? I think we will just 'go'. I picture one large viewing with everyone, but also lots of other spur of the moment trips when some of us will get another urge.

I need to check my arrival times - they will be close to Jen's. And I'm also hoping to get a ride from the airport!
I'll have my sister Margaret and my brother Bill with me. We can crash wherever.
To: JenB; RosieCotton
Yep, rides can be arranged once we know what everyone is doing.
