Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Rub your butt on his keyboard!!!! 2J... did you get into the sacramental wine this evening or something....? :-)
But since you mention it... it would be better to just leave a polaroid picture of somebody's butt on his keyboard.

I keep wondering what it means when people walk into my office and the first comment is, "Wow, it looks like *you* in here!"
It happens A LOT.
Is that because I have *my* stuff hanging all over the walls? or because my desks are comfortably cluttered?

I'm really exhausted. And I imagine Steve will be in early because of the situation with his face and Joshua feeling a little ill. (cough and sniffles)
I'm having Sleepytime.

Didn't you ever see that episode of Sienfeld? Where Elaine gets annoyed with a super clean neat freak office worker and rubs her butt on her keyboard, puts her phone in her armpit and as she's leaving, she coughs on the inside doorknob then shuts the door?
It's hysterical!

I haven't decided what I'm having yet. Not sleepytime though.
Maybe the guys will stay out a little longer so you can talk to us more.

That's almost as good as... wait...
no. I can't. That would be wrong of me. Nevermind.
To: Wneighbor
Oh, that sounds good!
I might just hit the hay early tonight... course, I always say that. Maybe I'll watch an anime first.

Everything that is "me" is usually more than I can afford! Saw a pair of shoes the other day...just plain brown mule-type shoes, you know? Loved them. $158.
Saw a flashlight today...I think it was called a Pelican...thought, "Hmmm...that would be good to send to the guy in Afghanistan!" $69
Sigh...

But then Umholtz went beyond Illinois law and did a little checking. Kershaw, the manufacturer, Umholtz said, maintains on its Web site that its knives are legal in all 50 states. VEY interesting, but in Michigan, a secret ruling by the RAT attorney general (now our RAT govenor) has delcared these legal "assisted opening" knives to be illegal switchblades. Some out-of-state dealers know this, and won't sell to Michigan residents. Others will. If a cop asks you to empty your pockets, you could be in for a very nasty suprise when he slaps the cuffs on you.
Of course, Michigan has tons of secret laws, most of them quite stupid, that nobody but the police and prosecutors know about. They were promulgated by 40+ years of RAT attorneys general, who have acquired legislative and judicial powers on just their say-so.
I find AO knives to be interesting, but they tend to be of smaller and lighter construction than I prefer. There are some heavy-duty AOs, just like heavy-duty switchblades, but they're pricey. I prefer a more solid one-hand knife with secure opening and closing than an assisted-opener.

So, Ramius, are you saying that in the Coast Guard you would have preferred to receive cherry instead of horehound?
I need to send what the guys really want ya know.

Well, I am still not certain what is "me" about my office. Other than it *is* my office and has my stuff in it.

It's kinda funny that even regular switchblades are illegal anywhere. Like, what? they're sharper and cut differently from some other folding knife?
Yikes... laws written by liberals, so they can "feel good" about it. [sigh]
To: Ramius
But, since you have been in receipt of care packages, I thought you could give me advice!

Hey! When's the Superbowl?
I hate football, but the boys like to have a party...with dip and chips and lil'smokies and such...they pile up in the livingroom with their dad and act like guys, I guess...
I gotta be ready for it.
