Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Be careful!

Here in NC they're predicting only 1/4" inch ice accumulation (we're supposed to get snow too). Last year it was the >1" accumulation that got muh trees.

"Dogs? I didn't see any dogs." heh heh heh... you done this before, ain't yuh?...
To: Overtaxed
Well, with any luck it should be less than 1/2; they're not sure, seems to be bout a 1/4. Theoretically the storm of 2002 cleaned out the marginal ones. Course the power cos are not keeping the trees clear of their lines very well, imho.

Now why did I think of Elrond when I read this? I don't wanna think 'bout what comes outta an elfs butt... small mammals, whole vegetables... innocuous kitchen utensils...
To: Overtaxed
It's so cold here. I went to the gas station for gas and caffeine. My poor legs are so cold - I'm dressed for church alreadry - and my fingers got numb through the gloves. Lovely.

the power company here (Laclede County Electric CoOp) does a great job keepin' the lines clear... clear cut to the ground a 30' swath under the lines every 5-6 years...
To: g'nad
Oooh! Your trees look purdy! and they do carry the ice better than our heavy firs!
To: JenB
