Yes. I was a witness to a hit and run at my son's church. The church secretary and her husband, who were changing the letters on the sign, were hit by a car out of control. The husband is in critical condition and the wife is in serious condition.
The car approached me head-on, and then veered onto the lawn of the church. It did not slow down and blasted through the sign, hitting the couple, and then gunned the engine and sped away.

Have they caught the creep yet? If it wasn't a Christian church, it would be ruled a hate crime, but let's face it, we Christians are the "free-fire zone".

Hi Jane... so sorry to hear of your experience last evening. Defensive driving does nothing to avert this type of tragedy. Will be praying for you, and for the secretary and husband and their families.
Had a scare myself day before yesterday, but nothing that compares to what you witnessed. Lawlessness seems to be the rule of the road today.
CB... your post about rain "between the Beltway and Fairfax City" caught my eye. About 20 years ago I lived across the street from Fairfax High School on Little River Turnpike... that's about as close to "between the Beltway and Fairfax City" as could be described.
