Thanks for the link - sounds a lot like what I was trying to say, but much better written.

So far, I would have to admit that telling illogical people, even using the money metaphor up above in my note, that they are not consistent in their reasoning doesn't usually have any impact.

But my post above, and the article you linked me to do have something in common: a lack of an explanation about why liberal leftists are comfortable with the illogical life they lead.

The answer, another essay I hope to write, is that secular humanism, like Christianity, is a faith system. Both can be defended "logically", and, to us Christians, our logic is consistent, theirs inconsistent. To them, though, the rules of logic are not shared.

I can say this pretty easily, because I had to suspend my "reason" to move beyond my biases against Christianity, so they I could hear that quiet voice of Him. It was about the hardest thing I have ever done - simply because I didn't know how.
