Rush is carrying a heavy emotional load right now. His self-esteem (pride, ego, psyche, whatever) has taken a big hit and the Left is mounting a big challenge to Conservative talk radio. Also, he stands to lose big bucks and property on lawyer fees and possibly another divorce (I hope not).... He may also be looking at jail time and being dropped by media outlets, a la ESPN.

I really don't think Limbaugh can survive as a popular radio host. He's only survived in the highly competitive industry of talk radio with a national program for 18 some years. Have you held the same job for 18 years straight?
And as for his "hypocracy," pray tell us what that was. Rush became addicted to a highly addictive substance. It happens to the best of people. Addiction of this sort is both a physical and psychological addiction. Hypocracy has nothing to do with it, so please explain.

Much of his anger is justified. I think he thought he was an insider. He was having dinner with important people, famous people, etc. I think he found out the hard way that 99.9% the people he though twere his friends were nothing of the sort. It is a hard lesson to learn at any age.
And to some extent it was his ego that prevented him from seeing what the result of his comments on ESPN would be
His hobnobbing with the NFL and professional sports types fed his ego and blinded him to the fact that sports is rife with PC journalists and that not even star athletes would defend him against the PC monster

Monique Junot: He keeps putting his testicles all over me. Lane Myer: Excuse me?
Monique Junot: You know, like octopus? Testicles?
Lane Myer: Ohhhh. Tentacles. N-T.
Better off Dead is still one of my favorite movies......"I want my 2 dollars!"

And another thing, I'm getting really tired of his "put on" laugh.
Yeah he does seem hyper.
Wheter that is a reaction to fighting off the urge for drugs he must be feeeling from time to time or an over reaction to make up for shows when he was under the influence who knows
But he is definitely overdoing some of his responses

The Rush Limbaugh show is not a children's show and children cannot understand complex concepts of politics. That doesn't mean that Rush's show is improved by petty vulgarity.
Furthermore, if you can't take a simple word like testicle in a mature manner, then maybe something along the lines of sponge bob square pannts is more your speed.
Part of it is that Rush is not always using such words in a mature manner. Such as his joking about 'Americans Coming Together' as being some orgasmic thing... juvenile. A seventh grader could come up with that.

Well, he slipped up and said that it's "Open Line Friday"...two or three times this week so far, and I only listened to bits of the broadcasts for Monday and Tuesday.
Then again, perhaps he does that all of the time.

What word do your children use for "testicles"? My kids are grown, but when my two daughters were aged 7 and 4, respectively, we brought home our newborn son and waited for the inevitable. At the first diaper change, the 7-year-old wonderingly inquired, "What's that red thing he's got there?"
In the most natural tone I could assume, I replied, very matter-of-factly, "That's his penis."
"Oh," she replied, then paused a bit. "At school they say 'dick.'"
To: dubyaismypresident
sorry - my euphanism list pretty much ignores that body part, concentrating instead on things like 'moisture-seeking meat missle' and 'one-eyed trouser trout'

More frequent debased language usage than before, much harsher, somewhat hostile, and even bitter. He tells us he's more "himself" now, and I have no reason not to believe that.

Rush is like he was in the 80's when he first started in Sacramento.

That doesn't mean that Rush's show is improved by petty vulgarity. I will concede that point, and I am really not one to go along with any and all vulgarities. On the other hand, I believe we are getting too sensitive to things that don't matter, and not sensitive enough to things that DO matter, such as the homosexual agenda in public schools, the socialist direction both major political parties are taking, the demonization of the Christian religion, and a judicial system that does more legislation from the bench than interpretation of the law.
We have bigger fish to fry, and getting upset about the use of one word is kind of crazy. Just imagine if we went to task on restoring our constitution with as much zeal as those who call Rush over the use of one word.
