Dan Reeves is a real man....a John Wayne kinda man

Did Dan Reeves really attack the fans this season? I heard snippets on the radio but couldn't tell if it was an impersonator or him.

What a stupid move by the Atlanta Falcons.
The very fact that Michael Vick single-handedly beat one of the best teams in the NFL (the Carolina Panthers) last Monday night speaks volumes on why Dan Reeves had trouble with his team--if Vick had been healthy this season the Falcons could have been seriously contending for a playoff spot.

Just damn. (saw your earlier post on the GA board, BTW)

Vick played the final two series in a Nov. 30 loss to Houston, then finally made his first start last weekend. He rushed for 141 yards -- the third-highest total by a quarterback in NFL history I think he holds the number one spot for that stat too.

How does "Coach Prime Time" ring with Falcon fans?

My dead pool entry says three coaches that played against the Cowboys this year will not be with the same team next year. Here's one. Sorry to see Dan go but the losses without Michael Vick proved they were winning because of the QB not the coach, when that happens you get rid of the coach.

Just out of curiosity, what sorts of personality problems are there among the Falcons players?

SO Mike Vick breaks his leg and the Falcons are 3-10 and its Reeves fault, but Chad Pennington breaks his wrist and the Jets are 5-8, and its not Herman Edwards fault...it's because Chad was out (Chad came back 4 weeks ago).
Does this make sense?
To: TheBigB
I think this was a good move. It's time for them to part ways with Reeves.

Reeves was a loser, and they should have fired Vick at the same time.
The Patriots are in the process of establishing a dynasty with Belicheck at the helm and Brady at QB. They're the best thing to come down the pike since the 49ers and Montana.

Is the Denver Bronco's coach Mike Shannahan next? Rumor has it along the front range of the Rockies that he's on thin ice.

Maybe the Dolphins will get rid of Wannstedt and pick up Reeves.

Reeves said Vick needed to get back on the field;
That was a complete missunderstanding by the press. Reeves said Vick needs to get on the field and do some football. The press misstook that as playing a game, but Reeves was talking running and throwing the ball in practice.
