You know? Considering how rude your original reply to my post was I think mine was very polite. I never accused you of having bad thoughts about Terri. I just simply asked you to no look negatively towards Terri due to any mistakes her supporters might make.

I just can't see how you got yourself so worked up about it. So, I am going to assume that your are here simply to be a combatant rather than a discusser.

You spoke of wasting bandwidth. These last three communications between you and I have been nothing more than a huge waste of time and bandwidth. If you would like to discuss a topic, rather than rant and rave about it I will be glad to spend some time with you, but if you just wish to play the “Look everybody I’m offended game” you can count me out.

Great post, vanity or not. You write very well. It's been said anyone who brings up Nazis or Hitler loses the debate, but in the Schaivo case, with its strong connections to euthanasia and obviously, willful killing of the less perfect, I don't see how the comparison can be avoided.

Nat Hentoff did an excellent piece on the origins of the holocaust and the acceptance of eugenics in this country early in the last century. It seems that as time passes, we forget too quickly the horrors of these programmes. In the Netherlands today, euthanasia is legal. Elderly people are being killed by doctors who do not take the patient's wishes into consideration. Incrementally, we are being introduced to the concept of killing anyone deemed unworthy in some way. Today, feeding tubes. Tomorrow, it could be any reason, or no reason at all.
