According to Buddy D on the WJBO radio broadcast of the Saints-Buccaneers game, his "impeccable" source says LSU will meet Oklahoma in the Nokia Sugar Bowl for the National Championship.

If OU goes to the Sugar Bowl after yesterday, that may provide the outrage to finally get a real playoff system.

ESPN.com is saying the same thing - while adding the fact that USC is now #1 in both "human" polls.
I'm no SC fan but this absolutely sucks for them.
The BCS is officially a fraud.

Anti-Pac 10 Bias in the Power rankings ! After Oklahoma got clobbered by Kansas State, Sooners should not have been in national Championship game. The only loss USC had was in triple overtime on the road. USC also beat a mid level SEC team on the road. LSU should have gotten no bonus for beating a team they had already beat. The natinal championhip game should have been USC vs LSU, but barring that, Michigan vs USC in the Rose Bowl is the best matchup. Sooners got clobbered by a team ranked 15th in the nation.

Ooops - 'power rankings' should have read computer/power rankings.

I didn't even know Nokia made sugar. Me either. I do know they make pretty decent phones though.

UNBELIEVABLE!!
I didn't think Buddy could even PRONOUNCE a word like "impeccible".
:)
Ah, Buddy D. He's the Harry Carray of the Gulf South area.
I love when he does the promos for River Parish Refuse (tagline: "Our business stinks, but it's 'picking' up!")

Looks like my spelling isn't "impeccable".
