Big old heat gun does the trick too. I use a counter top convection / toaster oven and the paint removal-heat gun for my kydex projects. Seems like a bit of trouble to go to for a metal conditioner. Guess a few thousand rounds will say yea or nay on the effects. I measured my trigger pull etc etc to judge against down the road.
