Hey, one of these things flew over here about a month ago. They flew it over to our local airport and then lowered it onto its point, and then slowly leaned it over, and then cut it lose on the grass.
My take on it at the time was that it was a large drilling auger. I doubt that it had any delicate electronics in it because they just dumped it on the ground with a big thud.

Electonics CAN be pretty hardened for such shocks.
