In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
osculate \ohs*cue*late\, verb:
osculated, osculates, osculating; transitive, intransitive verb
osculation; noun
deosculate, deosculation; (fondly)
exosculate, exosculation; (vigorously)
1. To kiss..
2. Mathematics: To have three or more points coincident with.
3. To come together; contact.
A Plain Old Kiss
Some people need a peck or two;
For others a simple smooch will do;
Too many, a graze will stimulate;
A few may want to osculate.
And then, there are those who need a smack,
For flowery words they have a knack.
But all I want from you is bliss,
Which you can give me with a plain, old kiss!
- Arr. Ara John Movsesian Etymology [Latin scul r , scul t-, from sculum, kiss, diminutive of s, mouth. See s- in Indo-European Roots.]

It seems President Bush, in the Thanksgiving tradition, osculated with this bird and a holiday parden. Most Americans will osculate with thier holiday turkey and the dinner table and numerous assorted relatives. While some will osculate a bullet and a deer and the woods. Gobble, gobble.... Happy Thanksgiving y'All!!

Tommorow night, on Soi 3 in Bangkok, I might indulge in some crickets and such, but no roaches. Actually, if you look at a tarantula and a crab, you can see the evolutionary roots from whence they came...

Why, oh why do these control freaks delude themselves into believing this s*** is GOOD for business, when any idiot can see it is ruinous? And Bloomingidiot is the worst of them, too.

Oh, I totally agree! The only times I say anything against smoking is if someone wants to light up in my apartment or if they're blowing it in my face.
That, and when some jackass who lives on the 2nd floor of my building tosses his cigarettes out the window when he's done with them -- without putting them out first, of course... We got a real bunch of winners here. (Remember the woman who stood up on a rollercoaster and fell to her death back in the Spring? Lived here...Her fiance doesn't shower and stinks up the gym something fierce.)

Remember last year's bird, which tried to osculate President Bush in an intimate place? Poor bird must have thought it was Monica and that Bush was Clintigula.

They don't really delude themselves - just the public and the media.
I actually have a letter from the Governor (as do many thousands of other Delawareans) responding to our pleas for change in the ban. In it she specifically states that they knew that some businesses would be hurt by it.

It's typical nanny state bull$h!t -- those in government thing that they know better than we do how to live our lives, spend our money, etc. For his next trick, Nurse Bloomberg is going to force us to drink a glass of milk and do calisthenics every morning.
