--WHO AM I?

--1. I was born on February 13, 1950, in Surrey, England.

--2. When I was 17, my music group and I signed a deal with Decca Records.

--3. I went solo in 1977 and found success in mixing
electronics and world music into art rock.

--4. I have been politically active in my career, using my
music to promote Amnesty International and Greenpeace.

--5. The single and video for my song "Sledgehammer" broke me into the mainstream.
