My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

He jumped and twitched as his brain noisily melted inside his skull. For some reason, those words echoed through his head as he took a full brunt hit of lightning straight to the chest.
That wouldn't have been so bad, if not for the fact that the spark was intended for someplace else other than his thorax....
He groaned as he picked himself up off the ground, smoke rising from him in copious amounts.
Strangely, he thought of bacon. Shouts told him that people were shocked that he was even moving.
"Shall I dance to show that I'm not dead?" he drunkenly said.
No one moved.
No one breathed.
And then the a bell rang and woke him up.
His coworkers jumped inside their locked cubicles when they heard his horrified screams.

After a while you learn to ignore them and they're just background noise.

Our Trike is working some very long, hard, hours. He posted this one this morning after doing a long haul.
Often Trike does come in early morning hours.

My hair color currently is a deep chestnut with slight red overtones.
If I sit in the sun too long I end up as a redhead.
And if I stay out of the sun, my hair looks black, but I end up with ghosty white skin..
No wonder one of my neighbors held a crucifix at me.

It was Ezra Pound who said,
"Literature is news that stays news."
Today is Monday, Dec. 1,2003.
The moon is waxing.
The morning stars are Jupiter and Saturn.
The evening stars are Venus, Mars,
Mercury, Neptune, Uranus and Pluto.

This and That!
MAH-JONGG
Gin and canasta are both descended from an ancient Chinese game, mah-jongg, which is more than a thousand years old.
FLAMING POLLEN
Most plant pollen is highly inflammable. It will ignite
and explode when placed on an extremely hot surface. In the early days of modern theater, artificial lightning
was produced by throwing pollen grains of the club moss onto a hot shovel.

I've been looking over some old haiku we wrote and wrote a new one using two lines from the old.

--Answer to "WHO AM I?"
Peter Gabriel. On March 17, 1971, Gabriel married Jill Moore and the couple had two daughters, Anna and Melanie. During this time, his band Genesis became more popular from albums such as "Selling England By the Pound" and the "Lamb Lies Down on Broadway".
Gabriel split from the band, which now included Phil
Collins, and released a well-regarded self-titled solo record in 1977. Gabriel's marriage was on shaky ground throughout the 1980s. Gabriel began a friendship with actress Rosanna Arquette that later blossomed into a love affair.
Meanwhile, Gabriel's wife had an affair with his producer and the couple separated in 1987. However, it was at this time that Gabriel was enjoying his greatest success as an artist. Following his massive success with "So", Gabriel recorded the score and
soundtrack to Martin Scorsese's "Last Temptation of Christ" and then finally produced a follow-up studio album in 1992 with "Us".
