If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky
 I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
 through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
 my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

    The Other Day

Just the other day
 I turned your picture
 upside down

Your image was in the space
I wanted to use for something else

I picked up
 the something up
 not thinking
 what it was

Placing your photo
       glass down

I placed
 what my hand
 help atop

your image

your image

is beneath
 a can of
 moth balls.

    Howdy ms. feather!!

Excellent poem for the troops!!

They've been through a lot to reach this day, and still have a lot to go through. But today is a momentous day and we all celebrate their mission accomplished!! WOOOHOOOOOO!!

    Hi ya radu!

Thank you so much for the kind words. I tried in a small way to thank them for their service. Grabbing the most wanted man in the world is no easy task, but Americans did it! American Military is awesome.
To: bentfeather
    Hey there feather!

You did a wonderful job thanking the troops for a job well done. The poem is beautiful.

You're right, it was no easy task but the troops pulled it off. I'm thankful to the locals who helped, too. Without their help with intel, the Rat might still be quivering in his hole right now.
A group effort that paid off in the long run. A fabulous day for all concerned!!

    Across the silver morning sky
 Some certain cynic gazes

Looming in the winter morning light
Attitude and rage a poet's scorn thrives

 What is light without darkness
 Great darkness after all lives

Look within first and then about

Find the rage in me if you can
Patience is not a real virtue

 Cursed  would not wield sword
I know more of Created Light

 My Epee'
 Je connais
 C'est? Say!

The water fountain reflected colors on the surface
 clouds swiftly darkened
 the sun's face
 and shadowed the lilies
 in cascading soft water droplets...

    I once danced
In the Ocean

The Earth has a serious pulse
The waves, tides moved over me

I felt the tides
Beyond the hides

A Harmony
Inside me

Earth has pulse
And a breath

My eyes open
Mother Earth

Warm, soothed, relaxed

There are no Pirates in this place
Only bliss, and quick breezes

Lucky Me!

    Consider the poor Pretzel
Hardened against the World

Suffering great heat
Lacking recognition

Best friend is often a Beer
Likely to be soon consumed

Beer and Pretzels
Together once again

The mysteries of Life
Simplicity, no strife

There is no poetry
There is no spoon

Only life,
And Beer,
Comraderie
