If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

    Angels in Snow.

 Angels are made --
 Wooly winged and shod,
 Eagerness mittened in --
 With infinite care.
 Snow first. Then trust,
 To fall back,
 Nose up,
 Open-eyed to God.

 Stillness. Muffled void.
 Eons dissolve as
 Giddy with grace
 The form takes shape:
 Arms arcing,
 Legs swinging,
 Up, down,
 Back forth.

 Rising is the hard part.
 To resist the receiving snow,
 Consider flaw,
 Weigh perfection.
 Then focus forward haloed head,
 Heels dug in
 Equal elbows bent,
 Now! Heart-breath lift!
 Try again.
 Practice. Practice.
 A good morning's work.

 When evening comes,
 Westering light reveals the fresco:
 Burnished with flame,
A multitude of the heavenly host.

 One ponders love ...
 Earth upside down,
 Heaven split,
 Sky dizzy with remembered angels.

    Angels In Snow
  Good morning Sam!

I have always loved this poem and graphic. It's so delightfully light hearted. Working my way to the Donuts, Coffee and Tunes.

We have lots of snow this morning and it's cold. I have the painters here again today to move this job forward toward completion. I am getting testy about the upheaval.

    That's a cute kitty there.
But with huge paws... even if they weren't splay toed.

Interesting mix of music. Christmas in Dixie was nice, first I had ever heard that.

Angel poem was fun too!

The poet, named poet died November 21, 2003. I knew poet and his work. This is a sad day for the world of poetry.

    Hi snippy,

I'm a little late getting back to you. I am in the kitchen using my laptop by satellite connection. It's a tad slower than my cable and my beloved MAC.

It's snowing and cold.Guess you are in a good place!! :-)

    Chris Cornell - Sunshower

Dark as roses
An fine as sand
Feel your healing
And your sting again
I hear you laughing
And my soul is saved
On forgotten graves you cry

Crawl like ivy
Up my spine
Through my nerves
And into my eyes
Cuts like anguish
Or recollections
Of better days gone by

But it's all right
When you're caught in pain
And you feel the rain come down
It's all right
When you find you way
Then you see it disappear
It's all right
Though your garden's gray
I know all your graces
Someday will flower
In a sweet sunshower
In a sweet sunshower

Eyes like oceans
So far away
A feather trail
To a better way
Worried mornings turn
Into days
Then into worried nights
But it's all right
When you're caught in pain
And you feel the rain come down
It's all right
When you find you way
Then you see it disappear
It's all right
Though your garden's gray
I know all your graces
Someday will flower
In a sweet sunshower
Oh, in a sweet sunshower

In a sweet sunshower
I know all your graces
Someday will flower
In sweet sunshower
It's alright
All you'll be you are today
