[Soaring Feather]

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

If we dinned together this evening
we would probably share
a cold shoulder of lamb
and pickled tongue on rye.

Our moods, would not be congenial
to polite conversations.
So I dine alone
and eat lots of noodles
and raspberry yogurt.

Dang, I'm sorry I missed it yesterday. Things are a bit up in the air for a few days.

Looks like it was a heck of a party....still havin' fun with that helium are ya, SAM?

Wow what's up girl, working in the shop, froze to death , or what?? It's mighty cold here tonight. I was out for a bit to buy some paint for my living room.

OMG what a mess I have on my hands. The plumber was scheduled to come Monday. Well, they cancelled out due to the over load of jobs from the long holiday weekend. they came yesterday and worked in the basement. today they came back and worked in the bathroom hooking up the washer drier.

Well, guess what, no drier cord, the washer runs but the electrician didn't put a plug near the washer and a cord runs under my bathroom sink to connect the washer. This ain't gonna work out as it dims the lights when the washer is running.

Now the painters show up today and park in the bathroom where the plumber is working. They were driven out of there by the landlord and moved into the living room to finish painting the ceiling.

I figured as long as the house is all torn up they may as well paint the side walls and have it done with.

I am really disgusted with it all by now. These doo doos painters don't have enough drop clothes so I am bringing out old sheets to cover my furniture. They brought some drop clothes in from the front porch that had been walked on and threw them on my new furniture. I damned near had a cow.

Okay enough of my whining for now, hope you played Phil.

Howdy feather!

Sounds like a real fiasco at your house! sheesh!! I'd hoped those goons would be through by now and you'd have some peace and quiet once again. Somebody would have been missing a body part or two for putting those nasty drop cloths over our furniture, even though it's not nearly as nice as yours.

We aren't as cold as you are but it's been windy, chilly and wet here today. No sleet or snow here yet but our turn's coming up all too soon. It was all around us early this morning.

We've had a "situation" here the past few days and I have no idea how long it will last. Puts a big cramp in my 'puter time, and in my glass work time. At least I'm almost finished with that.

Oh yeah, we seem to have a new cat....just what we need, huh? LOL!! A pretty brown tabby male has been around a few days now. He's sweet to us but a real butt-head to the other kitties. He'd better start behaving SOON or he won't get to stay.

Yep, I looked for Phil and have it set so I can keep replaying him. *grin* Thanx!!

Got a new cat oh boy, well the cold weather has hit.

Hope he settles down soon.

Oh gee, I am happy you have the projects nearly done. Wow you have been working your fingers off.

I think our Temp here is 14F. I had to jack up the boiler it was too, cold for me. Too, there are the other tenants in the building.

Aunt Clara is doing well and I'll pass your "howdy" along to her.
The situation will calm down eventually. I'm just enjoying a brief break right now....don't know how long it will last. LOL

We aren't quite as cold here but the temp's dropping. I got goosebumps at hearing how cold it is up your way. brrrrrr!
