Thank you and back atcha!
We had a good one, but things didn't turn out like they were planned.
The night before Chistmas eve, Linda's Mom decided she didn't like this group of trees on the side of a back road and tried to take them out with her car.......needless to say, the trees won. She was brought to the ER and was there (with us)for 6 hours getting tests, wrapped up on one of those hard boards with a neck brace. Luckily she has no apparent signs of serious injury, but she has been wracked with pain (she's 85) and mostly lying in bed......of course in our home.
She is getting better now, and can wander around again and will probably go back to her own place next week.
Our Christmas was dampened a bit, Linda is pretty exhausted from trying to hold things together in a normal Christmas time, plus full time care for her Mom.
As far as overindulging, Linda probably needs Tequila shots on a daily basis till New Years Eve.....lol......maybe blue thingies would do.
You can tell David and your son that the Wings are starting to get their act back together from all those injuries. They will once again be formidable as the season heads toward the second half. Last night, our son Phil (who is in the middle of basic training) and myself went down to the Arena last night and watched a great game between them and Minnesoooota......went into overtime, ended up tied.....very exciting and fun for Father and Son. They have the most expensive beers in the work there, btw, so overindulging would have caused bankruptcy!
We still hope to go skiing, but that may be delayed because of Linda's Mom.
Hope all is well for you.
