More likely she failed as a daughter, in as much as she probably feels she must rebel against what you believe in.
She might feel she has to rebel against Dad to 'be her own person.'
Quite a few people of the past three generations or so fell into that one.

I have some relatives that are extremely liberal.
They see me as Satan, even though they deny there may be a Satan.
Admittedly, I play it up.

No the two kids were pretty good growing up, No trouble. The younger married a Firefighter, bore a son and died early..The oldest married another college goer, bore 3 daughters that haven't got in trouble that I know of...Just has different values about some things than I do....Looks at the world differently.... A while back I realized my traveling days were over with and I couldn't maintain the MH...So I asked if they would like to have it....They jumped at the chance, but within a few weeks they sold it....The money was more important... They both work, the daughter as a customer service rep at a hospital, the SIL as a grade school teacher...Like they need money.....Oh well. more water over the dam.....
