It was more or less boiled leather.
And I had to boil it myself fresh from the Balucanth.

My sister Janie's famous Bloody Mary....
vodka
cut lemons
v-8 juice
celery salt
Tony Chacheres origional seasoning
beef boullion cube
tabasco sauce
worcheshire sauce
Moisten rim of drink glass with cut lemon. Dip in saucer of Tony's until it is coated. Melt boullion cube in tablespoon of hot water. Fill drink glass with cracked or crushed ice. Fill glass 2/3 with V-8 juice. Add melted bouillion cube, dash of tabasco and worcheshire sauces, and dash of celery salt. Fill rest of glass with vodka. Add lemon slice and celery stalk. For a meal, add green olives, pickled okra or whatever.

Ohhhhhhhhhh..that sounds good.. Will copy that and keep it.. My family are lovers of good Bloody Marys, and I love V-8.

grannie, my sister worked as a bartendar before she married and was in college.
She got a request from some 'blue haired' ladies lunching and celebrating the birthday of one. They requested a Bloody Mary with zest. So...she made up this recipe. They kept ordering one after another. Finally, one lady told her that it had been years since she had drank her lunch. After the manager got all the ladies into a cab, he chewed out my sister and threatened to fire her. LOL
It is zinger favorite recipe of my family.
