"And here I thought the DD/Freeoples thread belonged to the bold..." Perhaps we should change the title to "The Bold and the Weird."

"We went to see the Return of the King yesterday." Isn't that a fantastic movie? And Aragorn is SO good (not to mention HOT!) that I can almost forgive him for being an idiot in real life.

"I may have to dig out the books and reread them." That's what I'm doing now. I first read them right after high school. I was sad to come to the end. I always wanted there to be a movie, but I never believed a movie could do Tolkien's masterpiece justice. I was wrong. I have seen the first 2, including the extended versions, several times. I have seen Return of the King twice now, and am thinking of going again. I re-read the Hobbit last week and am in the Fellowship of the Ring now (in the mines of Moria). Should finish it in a couple of days and start on the Two Towers.

Yes, it is a terrific movie. Makes me want to get a big screen TV to watch the DVD's.

Naaah, not behind.
Just hard to find in some bookstores.
A few bookstores only carry the Hobbit and the lord of the Rings trio.

Even our pathetic little bookstore in Pine Bluff has the Unfinished Tales and the Silmarilian. I expect due to the rise in popularity of the author since the release of the first movie, more bookstores are carrying his stuff.

Also depends on whether or not the bookstore cares about having a good complete selection.
*chuckle*
It's sad when a small bookstore beats out a large bookstore.
The local one here didn't carry much by tolkien until initially ASKED, and then they said, "We'll order it fo ryou, but won't stock it."
That was four years ago when I bought Unfinished Tales.

I had the comet cursor thingy awhile back. There was no getting rid of it until I reformatted. Oh, I liked the cursors, but the attached spyware was a major pain...not even worth it.

I'm one of those annoying people who prefer stuff to work "according to the book, THEN I will overclock it until it begs for mercy" types.
