A friend who is a fighter pilot just got home from Iraq, and he said ALL TVs aboard the carrier and in any officer's club are tuned to Fox news - never the other news stations.
The Clintons didn't contend with a viable opposition news outlet when they ran for national office before - they will never have such a stranglehold again on the American press. Fox News has now thoroughly infiltrated the media marketplace.

She knows she can't win this time, too many factors against her......it's wait till 08 for her, so relax. She might get more votes than Howard Dean, but as much as I fear and loath this "thing" I don't think she could ever win. True .. but also remember back to the 92 election .. they didn't really think Bill would win .. but still thought they would jump in and see what would happen and get face time for the next election.
Also something to think about ..IF she did jump in and took the nomination .. I wonder if Dean will try to run as and independent 3rd party?
There are so many possibilities .. sure will make this election interesting

Yeah, cute, isn't it? The guy driving that car is some little dweeb, too. The car also has other stickers of the "wilderness is holy" variety. I still have my "Dump Davis" and "Vote Freedom First" bumper stickers on my car. Really popular in this area...
speaking of cars, I had to put mine in for repairs today. Brakes. Turns out that the calipers on the front discs had malfunctioned, and I had to have the calipers, discs and rotors replaced, and it wasn't cheap. The front discs had been replaced just 23,000 miles ago. *whine, whimper*

The internet sites have made a huge inroad as well....
the blogs and internet news sites are destroying the old print media, and most of the good ones run from conservative to moderately conservative.
another reason the beast will have such a hard time.

I hate car repairs... leaving the car behind in the hands of "skilled" mechanics who know how to make their repairs last just one day beyond the waranty, and who have time to tamper with and weaken another part when they've finished making repairs to the broken parts and charge you labor for it and then say, "See you soon," when you drive off... .

My biggest fear isn't this years Dems, or even Hillary in 08.
It's that our own moderates will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the next four years. That's the only way the Dems can regain their power right now.

The shop where I had my car repaired today is not the shop where the brakes were replaced previously. I'll never go back there. They liked to me about the rear brakes, and told me they needed replacing soon. I took it to another shop (where the car was today) and they said, no way, those brakes have a lot of miles left in them. This shop has worked on my husband's old car many times, and kept it going for him. They've basically been doing the scheduled service on my car (newer than hubby's, so not needing a lot of repairs), and he really trusts them. He knows a lot about cars, having done a lot of repair work himself, and believes that this shop does good work at a fair price. We've taken our cars there for about 7 years now. But yeah, car repairs are tough - it's hard to know if you're being "taken for a ride". so to speak...

The bumper sticker didn't actually say that wilderness is holy, but it is of that variety. The "In wilderness is the salvation of the world" kind of thing.
