I think the difference is sexual. Women ALWAYS talk about their feelings. Men NEVER do.
My son and I are very close, but we have talked about our feelings for less than 3 minutes total in his life, about a minute when his mother and I divorced, and about two minutes when he decided to get married.
We can talk for hours about guns or cars or fishing, but there is nothing to really say about feelings. That is the reason men despise Chic Flics. Who wants to sit for hours watching people blather about their troubles? Give us car chases and gunfights anytime.
When women blather about 'feelings' they are gonna be met with incomprehension, because men are just flat incapable of understanding what the hell they are talking about, and if they keep it up, they will meet with hostility because men perceive the repetition of what seems complete nonsense as an attack.

Generally Yankees try to start with the wrong ingredients, either dried or canned peas. Get a pound of fresh frozen black eyed peas, add a ham hock an onion and a bay leaf, and simmer for at least 2 hours, and yeah I know they cook done in 30 miutes, but they are tasteless.

You have to have blackeyes on New Years, you can't mess with religious rites, but some other time, try Cream Peas or Crowder Peas, which are a little ilder than blackeyes.
