Give him a zippered leather mask and a leather horse halter around his chest and you have 'The Gimp'.

I am sorely tempted to go by myself, really. But, would it be safe for me to do so? That depends on what the definition of 'safe' is...

Good morning Gran (yep, still morning here)
I noticed today on the radio that Texans tend to pronounce "year-end clearance sale" like urine clearance sale.

Well, I have been told that if a woman alone stays on the Strip, she is relatively safe from robbery or assault because there is so much security.

Not to hound you but anyone here having these TROUBLES? Spybot - Search & Destroy can detect and remove spyware of different kinds from your computer. Spyware is a relatively new kind of threat that common anti-virus applications do not yet cover.
If you see new toolbars in your Internet Explorer that you didn't intentionally install, if your browser crashes, or if you browser start page has changed without your knowing, you most probably have spyware.
But even if you don't see anything, you may be infected, because more and more spyware is emerging that is silently tracking your surfing behaviour to create a marketing profile of you that will be sold to advertisement companies. Spybot-S&D is free, so there's no harm in trying to see if something snooped into your computer, too :)
Spybot-S&D can also clean usage tracks, an interesting function if you share your computer with other users and don't want them to see what you worked on. And for professional users, it allows to fix some registry inconsistencies and extended reports.

Just as long as the moose doesn't get the bright idea of washing the cat.
Saw a video somewhere of a whitetail deer washing a cat as if it were a fawn.
Said cat was most unappreciative.

Sometimes it gets confusing.
But that's only when dealing with Windows Media Player's SuperCookie and WinXP's multiple personalities.
Each personality has it's own cookie for WMP9.
IE has a built in spyware 'searchbot' called "Alexa".
It comes in the form of the "What's related" toolbar in IE.
So far the worst my machine had was a Data Source Object and an attempt to hijack Windows Messenger Service.
(I also have Windows Messenger Service disabled. It leaves a port open and listens to said port for no reason at all. Hackers can use that to take control of your machine at worst, snoop it at least.)
It's a program called "Shootthemessenger"
Also have one called "Unpnp".
Info on both here:
