What does the "YKK" on zippers stand for? Those mysterious marking etched on the zippers of many of the clothing items you own are little more than the name of the top manufacturer of zippers. A quick search on " ykk zippers " took us right to the web site of the fastener giant.
The company got its start in Japan in 1934, and opened its first office in 1960 in New York City. It eventually grew to become the country's top supplier of zippers and other fastening devices such as snaps and buttons. Today, their plant in Macon, Georgia, produces 1,500 styles of zippers in 427 standard colors for use on clothing as well as other items, such as tents or boat covers. Besides notions, YKK also manufactures "entrances and window systems."
What does the "YKK" stand for? Yoshida Kogyo Kabushikikaisha, the name of the Japanese company. The letters were stamped onto products and eventually became the trademark and official name of the company.
Today, the company is so well-known for their zippers, there is even a market for counterfeit YKK zippers..

Well, I was just wondering if Westy had gotten himself a little green Christmas tree yet. I hope he decorates it with ornaments from Baja.

I've got the same pop-up add problem!! It is irritating beyond description. I don't know how to stop it tho. We had a pop-up stopper program and it wasn't worth a $h!*!!
To: Mo1
I'll give that one a try!!

Have fun
I'm watching the 2nd airing of Hannity and Colmes and they showed a clip of Mort Kondracki (sp?) from Britt Humes show today.
He said he was in the green room and Maddy Halfbright told Mort that she thinks that President Bush captured Bin Laden and is just waiting till closer to the election to announce the news .. and then Mort asked her if she seriously believed that and Maddy didn't smile to say she was joking and that she did believe it.
These liberals are really losing it .. but what is even more scarier .. She was once the Sec of State
