Not my words, but they tell it pretty well
"For me,the rainbow represents the ultimate ephemeral experience. We don't go looking for them- they just appear. As we stare and wonder how and why, they may linger for a moment and then disappear as quickly as they came. That is what I like about nature in general and especially in the ecology of Baja. It's largely undeveloped and still wild interior and the unpredictabilty of life in the Sea of Cortez constantly beckons. Taking the same boat ride tomorrow, although little was seen today, may allow one to see manta rays, whale sharks, feeding finbacks, or any of the thousands of spectacular encounters possible. We are so fortunate that the original rainbow chasers like Erle Stanley Gardner, Ray Cannon,and John Steinbeck wrote about their travels and kindled the adventerous spirt in a small group of followers who are now trekking in their footsteps. Paved roads,GPS systems and state of the art 4X4 vehicles make it a little easier, but for those of us who really don't know any different, the allure of wild Baja is still there."

I know those two sites...If you keep prowling around and reading from sites you'll get a better idea of what Baja can be to people.....

I also read that Arizona has a Baja!Have no idea where Lower Arizona would be...A lot of Arizonians go down to Rocky Point in Sonora,Mex. that is the Gringo name, the Mex one is Puerto Peñasco. Closest beach on the Gulf for them....

Goodnight!
When one door of happiness closes, another opens;
but often we look so long at the closed door that
we do not see the one which has been opened for us."

Can you imagine what a pleasant Sunday it must have been in the Hillary houshold! LOL!
I'll bet poor ol' Billy Bob was hiding in his own spider hole all day.

Good morning Valerie...pretty sunrise? sunset? I have to believe whatever you say it is...my compass is on the fritz.
It's another cold windy day on top of the Andes...just doesn't seem to want to warm up this season. Still getting hard freezes every night and had a dusting of snow over the weekend.
I'm ready for some decent heat but will have to wait until we go home next July...or if we can head over to Argentina for a few days over the holidays. That is what we are planning to do.
Have a good day...the week is starting out good after an excellent weekend.

Any of y'all or your wives ever send baked goodies through the mail? I'm thinking about baking some cookies and sending some in Dawn and Tyler's Christmas package, but I'm not sure how to package them so they won't be all crumbs when they get there. Mo, you can ignore this post if you like. Teehee..
