An elderly couple has dinner at another couple's house and, after eating,
the wives leave the table and go into the kitchen.
The two elderly gentlemen are talking, and one says, "Last night we went out to a new restaurant,
and it was really great. I recommend it very highly."
The other man asks, "What's the name of the restaurant?"
The first man knits his brow in obvious concentration,
and finally says to his friend, "Ah, what's the name of that red flower
you give to someone you love?"
His friend replies, "A carnation?"
"No, no. The other one," the man says. His friend offers another suggestion, "The poppy?"
"Nah," growls the man. "You know, the one that is red and has thorns."
His friend asks, "Do you mean a rose?"
"Yes, yes that's it. Thank you!" the first man says.
He then turns toward the kitchen and yells, "Rose, what's the name of
that restaurant we went to last night?"

I like the color of the water. I like the RV's but I don't understand the fixation with all that barren land. Very few plants or trees and flowers, so much dirt and rocks!
I am really trying to understand I would feel sad and only dispair if this was all there is!
I have seen so many beautiful places on earth and this is like being in exile!
I thank you for sharing and do not mean to offend I am just puzzled by your fixation?

Merry Christmas....!!!!
We caught Saddam... !
To: grannie9
Good Good morning, Gran!
My radio was playing quietly in my room all night, and I heard about his probable capture in the wee hours, but I thought "great" and went right back to sleep until my son in Germany called me a little bit ago to talk about it -- and the very second I hung up the phone after talking to him, my Navy son called to talk, too.
Our TV is totally on the fritz - can't even watch a DVD, let alone the news. I guess I can go to the workout room at the apts. and watch the news there.
Went to Lodwick's party last night. It was very elegant. A lovely house - his brother-in-law's place. Lots of nice people all dressed up, I love to see that. I'll post some pictures pretty soon.
Loddy said his computer consumed an unauthorized gin and tonic yesterday, and he cannot get it to work at all now.

Oh. I went to Fix news online and saw the photo essay and a couple of videoes.
What a coward Saddam proved to be --- which is no surprise whatsoever. Lets his sons fight to the death, his soldiers are ordered to, suicide bombers give all in his support - but he hides in a hole and then crawls out without a fight. Unharmed, yet not unarmed.

Isn't it wonderful? Like Val said, what a coward he turned out to be in the end.. Vermin..

Here's Jim and his wife -- she's so pretty and friendly. Very nice peoples.

Too cold for Bermuda shorts, but he managed to get away with the hat.

Tony Blair addressed his nation hours ago - I want to hear what he said. He's a great speaker.
To: ValerieUSA
He has a history of being a wus when he doesn't have his thugs around to threaten and kill people
