Beautiful leaves, Westy.
No Friday night drinking for me, I had to go to Office Max to buy a new color ink cartridge for my printer to finish this Santa job - and Office Max, which GUARANTEES they will have your ink cartridge in stock did not have it in stock. Oh well, I ordered one at $10 off and they will deliver it free. But I needed one last night, so I went to Wal-Mart and they had one! So I've been printing and napping most of the night.

.. Winter Storm Watch in effect for Sunday and Sunday night...
Low pressure will develop and begin to strengthen off the Carolina coastline during the day on Sunday. At the same time, a cold Canadian airmass will be in place over eastern Pennsylvania and northwestern New Jersey from an area of high pressure moving off the New England coastline. During the afternoon hours on Sunday, the low will move north-northeast along the mid-Atlantic coast. There are worse places to be than Philly.
This week there are nearly 300,000 people out at Kittyhawk for the Centenial of Flight. Kittyhawk is part of the Cape Hatteris barier island system, 20 miles out in the Atlantic.
Ordinarily all the hotels are closed for the winter, but this year they are all open and full. All those people are planning to spend 9 days out on the beach watching the festivities and the flights of replica Wright Flyers.
Whether is is Cape Cod, or Cape Hatteras or Padre Island, there is no place more miserable in cold windy weather than a barrier island.

Times I've gotten to that point of frustration with a sewing machine, I've just done it by hand.

Or find a little old lady veteran seamtress (every neighborhood has one) and cry to her. She will chuckle as she swiftly has your crochety old sewing machine purring like a kitten. If you're real lucky, she might do the job herself on her own machine. She might even pat you on the head and give you some milk and cookies. LOL!

Yeah, I guess so, but unfortunately a sewing machine is one of those power tools you just have to practice with till one day it becomes natural and easy.
Then you can never figure out why it was ever hard to do.

Some sewing machines are just plain cantankerous...kinda like you. Hehehe And just like so many other things made these days, some are not made well and don't work the way they're supposed to. Your mama was from a time when craftsmen took pride in their work and manufacturers in their name and mass production of shotty products wasn't the norm.

MO, pick up that damned sewing machine and take to a machine repair place.. They will probably fix it ten minutes.. and teach you a thing or two, also..
You are either threading the bobbin wrong, the screw adjustment on the bobbin case is not set right, you have a build up of fuzz under your teeth, (no not yours, the pressure feet, lol) or something could be wrong with your needle, or a million and one things.. Someone with some knowledge has to check it and see why it's doing it..

It's really cold here, though we're missing the snow. That is to the South of us and from what I can tell will add to your mess when it gets there tomorrow, big time.
It's reeeaally cold.
caused by global warming, of course......

Probably designed by a man who has never sewn a stitch in his life You could try the old feminine/luddite method of hand sewing.
That would get you done sometime by July.
