Waaaaay too many comments.
"I stripped naked and lay on the floor in a fetal position for days"
*Snicker*
Last person I knew that acted like that was a Liberal who said he felt 'raped' when Gore lost.
So he sat in his shower and shivered hugging his knees.
As if he'd know what it was like to be teh unwanted target of anyone's violent desire.
Looks to me like the guy in the article is the same way.
"She didn't want me. *snivel snivel* I'll just LAY HERE AND DIE. Oooh, Hate powered Dean! Sign me on! I'll make them all pay."
*snort*
Lord, the Libs have so many bahvioral issues..

Oh I liked the parts where this concerned son says he got into politics because his mother couldn't afford her insurance after she got cancer
Most conerned son's would try to help pay for the insurance or what ever she needed
But nooooooooooooo
This numb nut quits his job, puts the money from the engagement ring towards buying a car and heads out to work on Dean's campaign for free and sleep on the floor, all because of some cute girl he met at a Meetup meeting
Ohhhhhhhhhh and lets not forget the part of where he doesn't care who makes money off of the software that he spent hours, days, weeks creating
WHAT A LOSER!!

Oh come on Babe .. there is always the box cake kind Not really. Even when I use the mix, my cakes come out of the oven lopsided. Then the cake sticks to the pan. I have tried to be creative with the icing to level up the cake and fill in the holes. I've just accepted the idea that I cannot bake. LOL
To: Mo1
Yeah, he's a loser of the first (last?) degree?

Oh by the way, I did use Pillsbury folded crusts for that pie. You don't think I'm that old fashioned do you?
It took me years to learn how to make good pie crust, and I'm seriously talking garbage pan city.. Now...you betcha.. unfold them and roll those babies out..
I might be dumb, but I'm not *that* stoooopid.. ;)

Well, knock me over with a feather. Yes, I did think you made your own pie crusts. What is this folded pie crust? I have only seen the crusts already in the aluminum pan.
A couple of years ago, I made a real pumpkin pie. I cooked that darn thing down all day and it was really good tasting. But, I made the crust from scratch.
Everyone ate the filling, but pushed the crust to the side of their plates. LOL
To: Conservababe
Yeah, I eat the filling too.
Nothing better than cherries from the can when you can find it.

LOL LOL.. When I got married at eighteen, I swore I'd learn to make crust as good as my mothers. She was a pie maker of the first order. Actually, a cook of the first order. Even tho she was a Northerner, she even made great fried chicken. I know, as Darks says, "blasphemy," but true. ;)
I made pie crust everyday, and everyday Al came home from work and threw out all of the pie crusts in the trash. Day after day, month after month. I finally got so I could whip up a bowl in no time, and it was easy to handle and good enough for Jude. It must have taken a year or more. Even the boys..
Then when I saw Pillsbury, my eyes lit up and I said, "why not"? I've been using it ever since.
Babe, you have to look for it in the dairy counter, where the rolls etc, are. Try it.. all my kids can make a mean pie now too.. ;) Even the boys..
To: grannie9
My grandmother could make a mean fried chicken.
Andno-one hasbeen able tomatch it.
Must be the 'older generation' thing with the cooking.
(Grandma was of the 1890-1910 generation.)

I'll give you a hint if you use those crusts. I heat the oven fairly high, 375-400, depending on the pie. Put a good rugged cookie sheet in the oven and let it heat up. Sprinkle some sugar in the bottom of the pie plate before you put the bottom crust in, and it should brown nicely for you. Otherwise, a blueberry or apple can end up with a raw bottom crust.. Hate it when that happens.. :(
To: Darksheare
Yeah.. and you know why I bet? They used real lard or solid crisco. It's still the best for stuff like that. In fact I used to make my pie crusts with lard.
To: grannie9
Darn, and all these years, I never knew.
Since you are a true friend, I am going to tell you a deep dark secret.
I don't know how to cut up a whole chicken, the southern way. I am so ashamed.
