That Dude is
John Robert Burck II, known as 'The Naked Cowboy,' doesn't let a snowstorm keep him from performing at his usual spot in New York's Times Square Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003. Burck entertains passersby by singing, playing his guitar and posing for photographs at 45th St. and Broadway. (AP Photo/Tina Fineberg)

How do you get one item out with out all the rest come tumbling down?
That is a lot of work to travel that way!
I hope it not an out dated version of an RV!
I do admire the talent of packing!

My word, she is finally asleep. The five year old granddaughter is spending the night. She came over this afternoon and inspected my tree. It passed.
So, then she wanted to decorate. We hauled up four big bins from the basement. She hung quite a few balls, then ran out of hooks. She put her hands on her hip and sent her PaPa to buy more. While he was gone, she ordered me to take everything off the hearth, while she dived into other boxes. She came up with Santa, Mrs Clause and the nutcracker and placed them exactly as I have since she was born. She then finished decorating the tree, after she demanded a chair to stand on. And, she nixed my plan to put ribbon garland on the tree, too, in no uncertain terms. After that, she tackled the mantle and put the train where it belongs. This went on all afternoon and evening, folks.
During all this frentic activity, she said she had the "Christmas spirit". I asked her what that means and she said "its when you are excited about Christmas".
Well, I have the Christmas spirit, but this Grandma feels like she has been run over by a reindeer. LOL

Goodnight yall...
Don't forget tomorrow is...
December 7th. Or is that ancient history now????
.....Westy.....
To: westmex
No, I did not forget. Westy, is it true that more people were killed in the attacks on 9/11 than at Pearl Harbor?
To: Conservababe
In two hours 18 warships, 188 aircraft and 2,403 servicemen were lostI would say yes, But we went to all out war then, with none of the whining like today...
I'm really going to bed, NOW....
......Westy....
To: Conservababe
I looked it up for myself on google.
Revolutionary War: 4,435
War of 1812: 2,260
Mexican War: 1,733
Battle of Antietam, the Civil War's bloodiest day: 4,710
Pearl Harbor: 2,403
Korean War: 33,651
It seems that more did die during the attacks on 9/11, which was not even a military action. And look at Antietam.
There will always be wars and battles. And we are at war, even though a different kind, against terrorists now.
Thank God we win. We have always won because of people like you, Westy, who gave your all for our country in the military.
I thank you.
To: Conservababe
Well I hope Rudolf keeps you warm tonight!

Good Morning.
How's the snow, Mo?
To: grannie9
Good morning. We finally got a tree up! I got a small one for the apartment, but we have really high ceilings, so I put it on the hope chest.
To: westmex
That's a pretty picture, westy -- looks like a great place for a walk.
We always remember Pearl Harbor Day. My Dad lost a young uncle he had grown up with in that attack.
To: Mo1
Weird picture alert! I saw this shadow on my wall near the computer desk this morning:
