Who can afford filet mignon anymore? LOL Actually a nice big Prime Rib Roast will run you over $50.00. My husband said "I remember when I could buy the whole damn cow for that"!! He's living in the past of course. He doesn't shop so he thinks everything cost under $20.00!!

Just saw a new report on Pickton the Vancouver Pigfarmer.
They say the news isn't being reported in Canada so I thought I would let you know.
. He has been in jail for 2 years for killing over 65 Vancouver prostitutes.
They just found a whole bunch more skulls on his property indicating there may have been many more victims.
He was running them through a woodchipper and feeding them to the pigs.
Said he was one of the largest pork producers in the area.

Well, I guess it was an economical way to feed the pigs. Cuts down on production costs. Reminds me of a movie I saw a looooong time ago. It was featured on Elvira's Mistress of the Dark (or whatever she wasy) program. Some pig farmer was killing people and feeding them to his pigs.

I've read part of null and void's thread. I am amazed at some of the responses. I'm getting weary of the "vote for the Republican because he's less bad than the Democrat". Ya know, what I'd like to address is how we can move this country back toward the representative republic and level of freedom we once had, rather than the incremental steps toward serfdom we are now experiencing. It was really bad on the California Recall threads. *sigh* Things got exceeding ugly, and it's still ugly whenever a thread about our new governor and what he's up to gets posted. But hey, he's better than Gray Davis!

I'm getting weary of the "vote for the Republican because he's less bad than the Democrat". Then you are gonna have to persuade a majority of Americans to agree with you exactly on every possible issue.
Until that day comes, everyone has to either settle for part of a loaf or get stubborn and end up with none.
I don't like it either. I would love to be idealistic and demand just what I wanted from a politician or I wouldn't support them, but it isn't rational.
Even the ChiComs with their 'reeducation camps' couldn't make everyone want exactly the same things.
If we don't support the politicians that are least bad, you can be assured we will get those who are the worst.
