Pains of Love
by Elizabeth Barrett Browning (1806-1861)
And wilt thou have me fashion into speech
The love I bear thee, finding words enough,
And hold the torch out, while the winds are rough,
Between our faces, to cast light upon each?
I drop it at thy feet. I cannot teach
My hand to hold my spirit so far off
From myself.. me.. that I should bring thee proof,
In words of love hid in me... out of reach.
Nay, let the silence of my womanhood
Commend my woman-love to thy belief,
Seeing that I stand unwon (however wooed)
And rend the garment of my life in brief
By a most dauntless, voiceless fortitude,
Lest one touch of this heart convey its grief.

Hi FRiends, please remember my sweet kitty Sasso in your prayers Friday morning as he has surgery to graft some skin from his side onto his wound on his hindquarters. The vets and I are concerned about him going under the anesthesia but they will be doubly careful with him. The litter box issue has resolved itself. Mr Sasso is extremely picky about his litter and hated the type the vet gave him after his surgery. So, I threw it out and put in his regular litter and he's a happy boy again! And I'm a happy mom! hahahaha Also, he pushed a ball with a bell in it with his nose last night and today I let him explore the house outside his 'safe zone' a bit and he really enjoyed it. So, I am more optimistic tonight than I was last night that he will have a full and enjoyable life. Thanks so much for your kind words and prayers for my furry fella.

A large two engined train was crossing America. After they had gone some distance one of the engines broke down. "No problem," the engineer thought, and carried on at half power.
Farther on down the line, the other engine broke down, and the train came to a standstill.
The engineer decided he should inform the passengers about why the train had stopped, and made the following announcement:
"Ladies and gentlemen, I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that both engines have failed, and we will be stuck here for some time. The good news is that you decided to take the train and not fly."

Heck No!!
Maybe you can forget the carb count for Thanksgiving. Than again on Christmas.
With all the stress that you've been thru, you need some comfort food. LOL
Anytime you need an excuse, ask me; I'll think of something!

Oh Jen ..... I'm so happy to hear that Sasso is starting to get around some and even play with the ball. That is encouraging.
You know that you and he will be in my prayers tomorrow. We will be waiting to hear from you.
Be sure to tell Sasso how many of us are praying for him.

A man had been driving all night and by morning was still far from his destination. He decided to stop at the next city he came to, and park somewhere quiet so he could get an hour or two of sleep. As luck would have it, the quiet place he chose happened to be on one of the city's major jogging routes. No sooner had he settled back to snooze when there came a knocking on his window. He looked out and saw a jogger running in place.
"Yes?"
"Excuse me, sir," the jogger said, "do you have the time?" The man looked at the car clock and answered, "8:15". The jogger said thanks and left. The man settled back again, and was just dozing off when there was another knock on the window and another jogger.
"Excuse me, sir, do you have the time?"
"8:25!"
The jogger said thanks and left. Now the man could see other joggers passing by and he knew it was only a matter of time before another one disturbed him. To avoid the problem, he got out a pen and paper and put a sign in his window saying, "I do not know the time!" Once again he settled back to sleep. He was just dozing off when there was another knock on the window.
"Sir, sir? It's 8:45!."

Give Your Heart
Read: Romans 9:1-5
I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my countrymen. Romans 9:3
Bible In One Year: Romans 9-11
Felipe Garza was 15 when he gave away his heart. His girlfriend Donna Ashlock had become critically ill and needed a heart transplant. One day he told his mom, quite unexplainably, "I'm going to die, and I'm going to give my heart to my girlfriend." He died suddenly 3 weeks later when a blood vessel ruptured in his brain. Doctors then took Felipe's heart and gave it to Donna, saving her life.
That boy's love illustrates Paul's wish for his Jewish countrymen. He too spoke of giving his life so that others could live. Paul, though, was thinking of eternal life. He said that if it were possible (and he knew it wasn't), he would endure the loss of his eternal salvation if that would result in the salvation of the people he loved so much (Romans 9:3).
In spite of his desire to rescue the people he loved from an eternity apart from Christ, Paul couldn't endure hell for his countrymen. Yet his expression of love reminds us of what Jesus Christ did. He really did endure hell for us. He really did give His life so that we might live.
Lord, we know we can't die to gain the salvation of someone else. But by Your Spirit give us a love that cares more for the eternal well-being of others than our own temporary comfort. To You and to them, we give our heart. Mart De Haan
Help me to see the tragic plight
Of souls far off in sin;
Help me to love, to pray, and go
To bring the wandering in. Harrison
Those who love Christ have a heart for the lost.

Thank you for that wonderful poem.
You and Sasso will be in our thoughts and prayers today.
