Husband does not want to lose acces to the children so I have a limited range to move in. And prices are high, what I have will appreciate dramatically and that is my retirement.

Time does heal all wounds, and wounds all heels.
Thanks, I needed that.

Yes, an hour a week at least.
I will arrange my schedule. Monday afternoons with friends.

And you shouldn't cut off his acccess. It can be very hard, in cases, for the other parent can make it very rough, but even then -- unless there's abuse or drugs, live in the same town or so. A Dad's a dad.

I never want to cut off his access. That is why this has been such a slow fall. My babies love their Daddy.

It's awfully hard to give advice not being more familiar with your circumstance or personality, a folly on the face of it. Everybody is so unique, or should be!
Yet some things are constant for the good of person -- a healthy diet, regular exerscise, or better chores that combine exercise within them, good friends, a good book, forcing a positive outlook on what at first take is a pain, aggravation or disaster.

but after the distance I have come so far, I have to stop.
OK, you know the answer, don't cling to the past.
(Yes, I know there is a comfort in it but it is a false one.)
In Aikido (a martial art) we learn two important lessons,
#1. Don't walk backwards.
#2. Turn and look in the direction you want to go.
You can do what you need to do.
First thing is, go clean your closets.

What! You've been in my closets??

I disagree with sanitizing the house of all signs of him. No matter what, he is still their father. Of course, family pictures and other pics of him can move to the kids rooms. He is still an important part in their lives.
Fork me - No matter what has happened and how you feel about him dont bad mouth him, especially in ear shot of the kids. Your 15 yr old, if responsible, is old enough to baby sit so you can get time out to yourself which is very important.
