What it takes to get banned from FR? (Vanity)

Given the rumors and speculation regarding banning of individuals from FR, I took the suggestion of another poster to start a thread around the topic. I have gone back and reread the rules and the specific speculation of posting to one type of thread or posting one type of article only is not called out as against the rules.
So, outside of the rules, what constitutes being banned or suspended from posting on FR?

Do you feel his banning was warranted?

If the admins were worried about bandwidth from images, then they would crush every Anna Kournikova thread.Maybe we should have a few of the admins try running from dialup connections for a while. ;)

As far as I know, Mr. LeRoy did nothing to get himself banned, nor---also as far as I know---has a Moderator yet put the reason he got banned anywhere in print. Mr. LeRoy was very anti-W.o.D., but he was always well-reasoned and rational about it. He seldom, if ever, attacked anyone personally to the point of flaming. He was also one of the best anti-W.o.D. posters on Free Republic; as good as Roscoe is on the pro-W.o.D. side.

Always a good quality in a discussion board, eh? Eliminate those that disagree with you and you don't have to disagree.

I find it curious that some of the most abusive posters on this topic still maintain their privleges, while one of the more rational people on FreeRepublic gets banned. What gives admins?

"Maybe we should have a few of the admins try running from dialup connections..."Actually, if the admins are monitoring ... is there a tool that gives you some idea of just how much 'bandwidth' a given link or whatever might consume before one clicks on it?
It could save some of us a lot of time...

The number of threads
were starting to get out of hand.
Even the last one by groob -- what's with that? A week old announcement of a LEAP appearance at a college in NH?
There's some interesting breaking news.

The number of threads were starting to get out of hand.I think there are way too many "sodomites are evil" posts on FR. Know what I do? Ignore them.

"Know what I do? Ignore them."Part of the problem?
I mean, if I were running a board I'd want people partaking in the discussion, rather than ignoring the whole thread because a bunch of numbnuts are goin' at each other and every other post is marked, "Comment removed by moderator".

Bump for MrLeroy..

Maybe because this discourse usually occurred on his threads? I don't know. One of life's mysteries.

I don't know. One of life's mysteries.I'm glad to see that you're baffled as to why LeRoy was banned as well.

as good as Roscoe is on the pro-W.o.D. sideYou have got to be kidding!
All Roscoe ever does is post "cut and pastes" of court rulings justifying WOD excesses, especially with respect to Commerce Clause abuses by the feds. And he never gives his opinion about them - he just automatically contradicts in a "bot"-like manner anything that the anti-WOD side states. robertpaulsen is at least tolerable: he at least makes cogent arguments to support his pro-WOD case, however wrong he may happen to be.
Oh, and by the way, bring back MrLeRoy!!

Besides, he didn't drink the Arnold kool-aid, so he can't be all that bad.

Admin Moderator,
Count me among those who are curious as to why Mr. LeRoy was banned. I certainly did not read all of his posts, but I found those that I did read to be thoughtful, well-reasoned and consistent with FR rules and general overall message board etiquette.
I respectfully request that Mr. LeRoy be reinstated. Thank you for your consideration....
